Clinical trial phase of medical research are gaining wide exposure these days. The shortage of treatment naive and the trial participants is increasing the time period of the clinical trials drastically which in turn is affecting the cost factor.
The recent article from the Reuters, Clinical Trials.gov states that there are roughly 106,000 human clinical trials that are underway around the world out of which 50 percent takes place in US only. Just imagine the demand for the trial participants in the US. The scarcities of the trial participants in the medical trials stretch its hands globally. In the recent times most of the participants of the clinical trial come from the developing countries and the initial two stages of the clinical trial Phase I and Phase II are conducted in the foreign countries and third stage Phase III is again brought to US. The problem with the clinical trials is adherence of the ethics like the affordability the expensive medication in the foreign countries, and getting the participants educated about the informed consent. If these ethics are strictly adhered, the clinical trial proves to be very affordable with its increasing scope.
